The number of vessels operating under the collective agreement of the SUR is growing

Recently negotiations on the conclusion of collective agreements with TransMorFlot LLC and Marine Trans Shipping LLC were completed in Astrakhan. They resulted in agreements establishing a higher level of wages and better insurance conditions on eight ships owned by them. So, the collective agreements are signed for five vessels of TransMorFlot LLC under the Russian flag: Baltic Leader, Stella-Maria, Neptune, Small B. S. and Victoria Shait. With regard to another vessel under the flag of convenience, the Lady R, it was agreed that a collective agreement will be concluded in the near future after passing the procedures provided for by the International Transport Workers ' Federation (ITF). All vessels operate in various parts of the world. For example, the Lady R, which called at St. Petersburg in July, is now in the area of Oman, and the Baltic Leader is heading for Algeria.

Three vessels of the Astrakhan company Marine Trans Shipping LLC remained under the protection of the Seafarers Union of Russia, despite the change of owner. So, the vessels Adler, Angara and Ascalon under the Russian flag were until recently under the management of the NB SHIPPING COMPANY, and the SUR collective agreement was in effect in their relation. The change of ownership to Marine Trans Shipping LLC did not worsen, but only improved the working conditions of seafarers. The agreement with the SUR was renegotiated, and the salary level increased after that. The working conditions on the ships are at a decent level.

We would like to add that the members of the Seafarers Union of Russia working on the ships of Marine Trans Shipping LLC and TransMorFlot LLC can always count on assistance on all issues from the Baltic Territorial Organization of the Seafarers Union of Russia.
