Members of Seafarers' Union of Russia got the Ministry of Transport awards
Maritime State University named after admiral G.I. Nevelskoy (MSUN) hosted the solemn awards ceremony. The badges "For Excellence in Studies" and "For Active Public Work" were awarded to graduates of Navigation and Radio Communications Faculty.
Among them were Ilya Trokhaev and Yulia Pedchenko, the members of the MSUN shop trade union organization of the Primary Organization of Vladivostok of the Seafarers' Union of Russia. Ilya was awarded the badge "For Excellence in Studies".
He graduated from the university with honors, moreover, he published the scholarly papers in university collections. The topics of his scholarly papers are legal regulation and technical support for the operation of autonomous shipping, and they constitute the basis of his graduate diploma.
Ilya Trokhaev is currently undergoing certification at Sovcomflot for the position of 4th Officer. He joined the SUR shop organization when he was a second-year cadet.
- I received a scholarship, established by the Union for excellent studies. I have been actively involved in volunteer work and public life. Now I am about to work at sea, so the Union's protection is important to me, - Ilya said.
Yulia Pedchenko was awarded the badge "For Active Public Work". She was involved in organizing the photo contest "Off Watch", which is held annually by the SUR Primary Organization of Vladivostok, and presented her paintings at the exhibition in Moscow. Just like Ilya, Yulia Pedchenko became a SUR member when she was a second-year cadet. Now the girl is considering job offers from several shipping companies.
— I really want to become a Chief Officer, — Yulia shared.
At present, the MSUN shop trade union organization of the Primary Organization of Vladivostok of the Seafarers' Union of Russia consists of 165 cadets. Many of them study perfectly well and actively participate in public work. The best of them receive a monthly scholarship from the Seafarers' Union of Russia.
