The rights and interests of seafarers are respected on board m/v Prisco Alfa and m/v Prisco Bravo

This is evidenced by the  International Transport Workers’ Federation’ blue certificates.

Yesterday, Nikolai Sukhanov (left), the Chairman of the Far Eastern Territorial Organization of the Seafarers’  Union of Russia, handed the ITF blue certificates for both vessels to Igor Lavrenov (right)  Prisco Tankers CEO.

“This means that the shipowner has signed a collective agreement with the ITF affiliated trade union and thus guarantees decent employment for seafarers, and most importantly, the compliance with the terms of the agreement,”  Sukhanov explained.

Indeed, earlier Prisco Tankers and the SUR signed an ITF collective bargaining agreement. Blue Certificates are  issued for the ships covered by the Agreement in the TCC - the total crew cost - format. It is a kind of document confirming that the shipping company has good records with the ITF, and the trade union with which the collective bargaining agreement has been concluded trusts its social partner.

Nikolai Sukhanov gave application forms for joining the SUR, magazines " Maritime Union’s Herald " and books on the rights of seafarers for the crew members of Prisco Alfa and Prisco Bravo. Besides, Igor Lavrenov and Nikolai Sukhanov discussed closer cooperation within the ITF agreement.
